With Réverdanse, which was acclaimed in Africa and North America, Zab Maboungou acquired a reputation as an exceptional soloist, coupled with a reputation as a choreographer with a unique vocabulary whose universe is as captivating as it is bare. It premiered at Lincoln Center in New York, and the following year at FESPAM, a pan-African music festival in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
