Makumbé, musician
Makumbé has learned drumming in Haiti and is part of a generation of musicians that is contributing to the promotion of racine music in the world. He has participated in various racine festivals with different groups (Zo Bop and Sokute). In Montréal, he has co-founded Yakengue (african and haitian music) and founded in 2005 Zikingkow. In July 2003, Makumbé joined the Nyata Nyata percussion team and continues to enrich the company through his musical talent and knowledge of the Haitian musical tradition.
